Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants
September 10, 2017
This weekend, the New York Yankees will also be in town to face off against the Texas Rangers – and they’ll be playing right across the street, so look out for all the New Yorkers coming out!
The Cowboys have a long rivalry between the Giants that we can trace all the way back to 1960. The Giants were dominating at the time. For years, the Cowboys couldn’t keep up. Then, the Cowboys gained dominance – which also lasted for years. The dominant team kept switching back and forth for many years to come.
Let’s not forget Hall of Fame coach Tom Landry. In 1947, Landry was drafted by the Giants. In 1955, he retired and decided to join the Giants coaching staff. However, in 1960, he moved to Dallas to become the Cowboys head coach, going 35–17–2 against the Giants.
Last year, we saw the Cowboys and Giants continue to go back-and-forth on wins, but the Cowboys still came out one win higher. Who will be the dominant team this year? Find out by visiting the AT&T Stadium.
Southwest Classic: Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Texas A&M Aggies
September 23, 2017
This college football rivalry dates all the way back to 1903. From 1992 to 2008, Arkansas left the Southwest Conference and joined the Southeastern Conference – which meant they didn’t play each other for all those years. In 2009, they decided to host an out-of-conference contest at a neutral-site and call it the Southwest Classic. In 2012, A&M joined the Southeastern Conference and the conference rivalry kicked into gear once again.
Today, Arkansas leads the series in one of the best-established rivalry games in the history of football. Fans come from all over to see which SEC powerhouse will go home with the Southwest Classic Trophy. For the past three years, the winning team of the AdvoCare Classic game has advanced to the College Football Playoffs. You don’t want to miss out on one of the most historic games in college football!
