The San Antonio Spurs are getting ready for their big return to the NBA season! This summer has been full of trade rumors, but all those rumors are getting pushed aside the closer we get to the start of the season. The Spurs haven’t been in any big rumors lately, but there is still a lot of good news to look forward to. Tony Parker is going to be back on the court much sooner than we all expected and Dwayne Wade is considering sporting silver and black.

Back in the day, Chuck Taylors were the original basketball shoe. Converse has decided to launch a special NBA collection, the Chuck ’70 NBA Gameday collection, that will feature various designs for all 30 teams. When we say limited-edition, we really mean LIMITED. Converse will only be selling 250 pairs for each team!
The shoes are also going to be made from authentic NBA jerseys and back with leather lining. There will also be a little surprise under the tongue of the shoe, a special Converse x NBA label. The shoes were launched on September 29th, so good luck finding a pair that isn’t being sold for thousands of dollars now. They will be selling for around $250 for each pair.
Dwayne Wade is one of the biggest names in the NBA, but he just recently agreed with the Chicago Bulls on a buyout. Now, there’s only a short list of teams that are being tossed around. The great news is the San Antonio Spurs are one of those teams. The bad news is so are the Cavaliers and the Heat. These are a few of the greatest teams in basketball! Rumors also say he gave back $8 million just to become a free agent – sounds like the Bulls weren’t treating him very well.
Wade would fit in well with the Spurs – considering his age. Wade will be 36 years old this season. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski says the Cavaliers are the frontrunner, but it will take some time before Wade decides on which team he will join. It will be hard to keep him from re-uniting with Lebron James. However, Wade said he wants to play for a title contender at this stage in his life and the Spurs have all the capabilities to bring Wade an NBA Championship.
Tony Parker has officially been cleared by the doctors! When he went in for his MRI, they doctors were very pleased with the results, but they still expect it to be around two months for his leg to regain its strength.
Parker ruptured his left quadriceps during Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets. Considering his age and the severity, many were worried that it could end his career. Parker, however, was not going to let that happen. He put himself on a strict regimen from 8 am to 1 pm every day.
Parker also said the Spurs treated him very well throughout his recovery process. For the first two months, he was in San Antonio. However, he traveled to France shortly after, and the Spurs made sure he had two people with him at all times to manage everything for him.
Don’t get your hopes up just yet because Parker said he definitely won’t be suiting up for the opener against the Timberwolves on October 28th. Coach Pop is taking a very conservative approach to bringing him back on the court. Hopefully, Parker will be suiting up again by November. The doctors were originally expecting Parker to recover at the end of January, so this was great news for everyone.
