Los Angeles is anything but boring. However, this October is mostly filled with basketball, basketball, and more basketball. We do have one special show for you – ODESZA. If you’re into electronic music or basketball, this could be a pretty exciting month for you. If you’re not all that into it, you’ll have November to look forward to. The Los Angeles Lakers are in the Western Conference Pacific Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Lakers have won 16 NBA Championships and are one of the most successful teams in the league. The Lakers franchise is also worth $3 billion – that’s a whole lot of dough.
The Lakers have a long history, but they also have had some of the largest names in basketball play for them: Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Four Hall of Famers and former Lakers players have also gotten the privilege to serve as coach of the team.

This season is going to be the Los Angeles Clippers’ 48th season in the NBA. However, this is going to be the first year since 2011 that they will play without Chris Paul. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan were three players who turned around the franchise. It’s going to be a huge year without Paul.
The Clippers share their homecourt – the Staples Center – with the Lakers. They share a unique rivalry because there is no other team in the league that shares the same arena.

The Los Angeles Kings might be the closest thing to winter that you’ll come across in LA. This is the Kings’ 51st season in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Staples Center has only been home to the team for about 18 years. The Kings have a few promising Draft picks on their roster. Come cool off at the Staples Center, and catch all the action.
Leave the kiddos at home because this show is 18 and over – no exceptions. ODESZA is one of the largest electronic music groups of today. Their shows continue to sell out, so if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, don’t wait much longer. ODESZA just released a 16-track album, A Moment Apart, and will be embarking on a world tour – starting at the one and only Staples Center.
ODESZA is an electronic music duo, made up of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight. The two started their group while they were in college at Western Washington University. They were inspired by Odessa, Ukraine, but named the band after Mills’ uncle’s sunken vessel. They decided to spell “Odessa” in Hungarian since there was already a band named “Odessa.”
In 2012, they released their debut album, Summer’s Gone. Now, they have produced their third full-length album, A Moment Apart. This album represents their growth and maturity with “weighted atmospheres, shimmering synth lines and familiar feelings of nostalgia, optimism, and hope.”
